Well a lot of times I'm either worrying about a friend problem, a boy problem a test, or the homework I never finished. I worry about peer pressure and how long it will take me to get ready in the morning and what my hair's going to look like. I worry about my grades and my texting plan, or what cute things some guy said to me. I worry a lot.
If parents would stop talking about all the great grades they got and maybe mention some subjects they didn't do very wel in, then teens wouldn't have to feel as much pressure to do just as well. Or if they say, if you are trying your best and putting in all your effort, then that's all you can do and not everyone is good at everything. My parents definitely exert the most pressure on me and on top of that, their opinions are the ones that matter to me most. Also my friends. I don't really like not doing as well or better than my friends, and if I see that they did better than me, then I definitely try to step it up because I know that if they can do that well, then I can.
And another teen says: I think that if parents put less pressure on teens it makes things much better. If one of my parents puts pressure on me and I do not do very wel then I am much more worried and that makes me want to not tell my parents things. Also, getting parents to put less pressure on us really helps us to put less pressure on ourselves. Teachers are always going to make you stressed so having you parents put less stress on you helps all around.
